Ben, thanks for the grand day out on the Usk on Sunday. And to all who turned out in the cold.

Actually, despite driving through disgusting weather to get there we were blessed with magnificent sunshine for most of the time on the river. No really ..!! Shame on those who crawled back into their pits at the first sprinkling of snow.

This stretch of the Usk makes an ideal introduction to river running being mostly easy grade two. The grade three drops are very straightforward too with flat water below and easy portages if you prefer. So c&rsquomon all you N A F Ford playboaters and Friday nighters, get out there you'll love it &hellip

Reminder : If you see me at the AGM on Thursday please don&rsquot hesitate to ask me. &ldquoWhat are you drinking Bill ?&rdquo Ho, Ho, Ho.

I almost made it, got to Texco's garage on the Kidderminster Road went to fill up the car with fuel, oops filled it with petrol instead of diesal, expensive mistake £200. Last time we did the Usk, I forgot my helmet. I may make it next year, just to let you know where I was, thanks John

Hi All.

Thanks to Ben for a great paddle, despite the prospects when I left home, I have to admit that I nearly stand in bed.   Thanks also to Bill, Rob, Tom, Jason (watch out for the rock), Trevor and Len.

A few nice features, a few waves to play on a massive Pastie, and an early finish, Excellent.
