Duck Race

Its a bit in the future, but do we intend to do anything for the Bewdley duck race on new years day.

I forgot to ask about it at the AGM, also do we have any paddles organised for Dec and Jan?

We've still got the Ducks in the trailer shed!

If anyone has a contact number I'll give the organisers a ring and find out what's happening and whether we're needed.

So far as I'm awar there isn't anything planned for December and January but if there are any impromptu paddles put them up here.

We normally have a committee meeting a week or so after the AGM to agree the paddle calendar for the next year. Any suggested dates? - How about sometime week-commencing 8th December.

The Lions usually appreciate all the help provided by the club. I have a private contact number and will give the organiser a ring to see if he wants help this year - then I'll let Dave B know. I'm not in the country on Jan 1st, so can't offer to liaise.

If the Duck race is still on, May be we could sell the ducks to those who have no ducks. Nothing worse then not having a duck and a race to do to.

Zaf - there would be a conflict of interests. The Lions sell the ducks to raise funds for their charities. They spend weeks numbering ducks, organising PA systems etc!! We help them on Jan 1st!! They help us by organising the tables at Casino Nights. When I ring, I'll enquire whether they want the ducks back. They have in past years.

I was thinking of the Ducks in the Shed. we should offer them back to the Lions. seems a shame that these duck will not swim again.
