Club Paddle This Weekend
REPLYSteve D - 17 February 2010 20:04:51Hi All, Eric is indisposed this weekend and has asked me to organise the club paddle so…here goes.
First the bad news; it’s been dry for quite a while now and with no significant rain fall forecast It looks like there will be no water around in Wales this Sunday.
Now the good news, the Trywern is releasing on Saturday so it makes sense to switch the day.
The Trywern offers everything from Grade II to Grade III+. The day will be tailored to suit the paddlers who attend; this trip presents an ideal opportunity for all those who enjoyed the Dart and Manchester weekends to develop their skills further in one of the best white water training grounds in the UK.
Bill, Cakey and Rob will be on hand to offer coaching support and provide river leadership duties with me and Dave S helping.
Meet at the WFCC at 08:00 Saturday morning, Departing 08:15 Sharp! Aiming to arrive at Bala for 10:15
Please post below if you are coming along. Any questions please call me on o7969 353nine68

See you at the cafe at 10:15.
Thanks,
Cakey
REPLYJames C - 19 February 2010 10:38:46Real committment would be a door-to-door pick up service to each fellow paddler, especially students

REPLYSteve D - 19 February 2010 15:25:04Hi Jake, the probable plan is that we will run the lower first then those who want to will run the upper.
Steve
REPLYZaf - 19 February 2010 15:57:13Any Chance of doing some coaching at the Top end before it gets in to Grd 3+, Feary Gliding etc. Look at who might be interested in that.?
REPLYSteve D - 19 February 2010 16:08:17Aye, We could warm up at the Chipper, then continue on to the upper Grave Yard, those who wish could then portage the next section to below Chapel Falls, then carry on to Bala. We can decide tomorrow at the Cafe when everyone is present.
