Club Profile - Wyre Forest Canoe Club

The Wyre Forest Canoe Club is a long established and dynamic canoe & kayaking club with approaching 100 members. Club facilities with changing rooms etc are adjacent to the river Severn in Bewdley, Worcestershire.

The primary aim of the WFCC is to promote recreational canoeing and kayaking while providing maximum enjoyment in a safety aware environment.

The WFCC has a number of qualified BCU coaches available to all members who provide introductory sessions for those wishing to try the sport for the first time. Club coaches also train and assess paddlers who wish to progress through the BCU "Star" award scheme. Sessions are held on Friday evenings throughout the Summer months and occasionally at the Wyre Forest Glades pool during the Winter. We also engage professional coaches from time to time to provide for specialised training such as First Aid and Safety & Rescue.
