Here is a provocative question. Do we need the message board?
What do you think?

my question would be to you mr chairman,
How else would the club communicate to all the members and show how active we are to knew commers ?

In my opinion it is a must. I am not a member of Facebook and don't wish to be. Therefore this is the easiest way to communicate between club members.

We currently have 2 Facebook pages. One blog and a website. And a message board.
Who is using the message board. Just look at the last 3 months entries.
So the question i have posed is not How active is the club. That is for you to decide? Activities are determined by the members. Not the message board.

When the facebook page was re vitalised last year it was said that the Message Board would remain the official organ of the club.In my opinion facebook is a fad(remember Friends Reunited?,where's that now). The kids at school are using it less and less,It is slowly being taken over by Business, pushing ad.s.In 5 years time something new will have taken over.I rest my case M'lud.

The only negative thing I can put against the message board is the fact we are having to use the password now which means it isnt open to outsiders as it was previously.
